Medium-charge cationic PAM is often a practical center point for biological and mixed-sludge screening. It can provide charge interaction and polymer bridging without assuming that the highest cationicity is automatically the best operating choice.

Use it as a center point, not a universal grade

Waste activated sludge, mixed primary and secondary sludge, food-process biological solids and selected industrial treatment sludges may respond in this range. Digestion, seasonal loading, coagulant residuals and conductivity can shift the optimum. Compare one lower and one higher charge candidate when feed variability is important.

Match the result to the machine

On a belt press, observe gravity-zone drainage, belt blinding, wash-water demand and cake release. On a centrifuge, record centrate suspended solids, cake solids, polymer flow, torque and throughput. On a screw press, note filtrate clarity, ring fouling, cake transport and whether overdosed sludge becomes sticky. The equipment hub converts these observations into acceptance criteria.

Normalize cost to active treatment

Bag price cannot identify the lower-cost product. Convert solution strength and pump delivery to active dose per dry ton, then include throughput, cake hauling, return-liquor load and cleaning time. A grade with a slightly higher unit price can reduce overall treatment cost if it widens the operating window or improves solids capture.

RFQ data for a focused sample

Provide sludge origin, dry-solids flow, pH, present polymer, preparation system, equipment and destination. State whether the priority is capture, cake dryness, throughput, filtrate quality or a balanced operating envelope. This allows Xinqi Polymer to avoid sending a broad, inefficient set of unrelated samples.
